The Maye Queene

The Maye Queene (2024) is a 2m 50cm x 1m 40cm wall hanging made from cotton crepe fabric that I printed using the cyanotype method. This work was made in response to the research I carried out whilst looking for the source of a hidden waterway in Folkestone and it was made over the course of several days as part of a ritual celebration of Beltane or May Day. (April 27th – May 1st)
